7/11/10 - A wild race tonight at Chicagoland as another first time winner goes to victory lane! Point leader Zips grabbed the pole with a blazing fast lap of 179.527 mph leaving everyone scratching there head. However, Mustang who was on the outside pole had other ideas. Mustang led 61 laps in route to his first PSRL win as Zips got damage late and was not able to contend. CharlieN came home second putting him within striking distance as the series has a week off before heading to Indy for a run on the famed Indianpolis Motor Speedway! Two weeks to prepare should yield some great racing as everyone will be looking to score a win at this icon racetrack. Enjoy your week off, see you at Indy!

7/6/10 - The PSRL drivers put on a great show at Daytona Sunday night and a black Goodwrench Chevy went to victory lane! Skoalman took the pole with a quick lap of 183.326 mph and the field was at full song. WiscoMan and Sam Collins had fast race cars early and looked like the guys to beat with series regulars Zips and Kege in the hunt as well. In the closing laps a four car draft broke away and each driver was looking for a way to be in front when the checkers flew. CharlieN drove a smart race late using only the low line around the track making a inside move impossible. While Zips and Kege tried the high side several times inside ten laps to go CharlieN and Skoalman held that low line until the final lap. Off turn four Skoalman made a move to the high side and the 29 and 15 touched going into the tri oval... this slight contact seemed to slow the 15 but both drivers got away clean as the 29 was the first to the line getting the win. As we head to Chicagoland this weekend seven drivers have clinched a spot in the chase with four drivers close to the final three spots. To the windy city! See you there!

Next....Night Daytona! The second trip to the beach this season finds the top seven in points PSRL regulars with several others trying to overcome the fast paced AI that just wont seem to go away. High banks and high speed..and lets not forget..a few friends will be the only way to victory lane this week! Be safe and good luck!

Zips has extended his point lead to a thin 23 markers heading into Pocono this week as the drivers face a real challange in the Pocono mountains. At present six drivers are inside the top twelve and are chase qualified with 13 races remaining to make the cut. See ya at Pocono!

A record nine penalties were handed out during the course of the event and a fight nearly broke out in the pits after the race as point leader Skoalman was waiting for AI Gordon when the checkers flew.
