Rules Schedule Trucks & Drivers
7/30/10 - !ECR!Mate continues his charge as he grabbed the pole with a blistering speed of 119.596 mph and led 139 of 140 laps. However, that does not mean there wasn't great racing going on during his domination. The number 29, CharlieN, and number 77, Slim, put on a race long battle with Charlie able to gain the advantage and finishing one spot in front of Slim. With Gabby's single bonus point for leading a lap, Spoiler's 38-point lead remains the same and Mate continues his late charge toward the top.

7/24/10 - Gateway is a speedway with a short track flavor, and a bit like a road course with just two left hand corners. Shifting is required here to go fast and that took a couple of drivers out of the mix as they missed some shifts. The race got off to an unusually rare beginning as the top five drivers were caught passing the pace truck before the drop green flag, creating five black flags. (L&R)Dr_Fast briefly led after the top five pitted to serve their penalties, but B1Racer passed him, that is until B1 missed a shift and blew his motor. That put CharlieN on the pole for the restart. However, once the racing got back to business, the fast trucks started moving forwards. Mate worked his way to the point and ended up leading the most laps. His win allows him to creep closer to the front with still a long way to go in the season.

7/15/10 - A power outage forced the race to be rescheduled at RIR this past Tuesday night so check the schedule page for the update. Also a new truck file has been added to the drivers page, Dr Fast is our newest driver. Get your fix! See you at Gateway this week!

7/7/10 - Once again under time restraints we have to move fast. Congrats to Whistler on his win at The Milwaukee Mile and also this weeks winner at I-70 Speedway Darial. A reminder that the points on the standings page are unoffical until checked by the lead admin upon his return from vacation. Be ready RIR is next, under the lights as always!

6/25/10 - Back to back wins for the 33 team at Portland as Spoiler extends his points! Speedball57 got a great finish coming home second as others were thinking of Milwaukee before the checkers flew. Three lead changes between two drivers with Spoiler also getting the bonus point extra. The Mile is next! Get ready and good luck!

6/19/10 - Another awesome green flag race, but this time in the Irish Hills of Michigan. There was great back and forth racing from the git-go, however some drivers got dropped after losing the draft. Once the pit stops got worked out it was a three way battle between the pole winner, Spoiler33, Ozzie and Mate. With five to go Mate got pinched down, half spun and got it straightened to stay in third. This allowed Spoiler to shoot out in front past Ozzie and take the victory.

6/17/10 - Second Update tonight, 5 new trucks added to the drivers page!
6/17/10 - Although Ozzie sat on the pole and led the most laps, 102 to be precise, bringing the wrong chassis to Texas caused him to have to pit for gas before halfway and creating the need for another stop later. Taking advantage of this was point leader Spoiler and Whistler. With no cautions the race finished with an average speed of 174.098mph. Try as he might to pass the leader, Whistler had to settle for being the first loser.

ADMIN NOTE - RDI is current, Michigan update is on the way!

6/6/10 - The race was set for a long run when only eight trucks pulled through the back gate. !ECR!B1Racer took only four laps to take the lead after missing qualifying and starting in the back. After dropping back at the start from his pole position, Gabby slowly worked his way up to B1's bumper. It took 10 laps before Gabby finally got past the tenacious B1Racer. With no cautions and good tire wear Gabby was able to grab the win by 12.3 seconds. There is a big shakeup in points as the top two drivers missed the race and only one of them taking a provisional. Mate was leading before the race by 21 points over Spoiler, but now is in third by 21. Spoiler has taken a two-point lead over Gabby with the Texas Night race coming up next.

5/31/10 - To be at the front for a Charlotte finish you had to stay out of trouble at any time during the race. Draft matters here and if you lose it, you lose the race. It was an early freight train for five trucks as bumping and racing each other split up the field. The only caution brought everyone back together for a 35-lap feature finish. A spin by second place runner (WCR)JDM106 left a 1-second gap between leader Mate and Spoiler33. Slowwwwwwly, with drafting help from -=Whistler=-, Spoiler gradually pulled to Mate’s bumper. Then with 10 to go, the race was on. It was back and forth, with some paint trading among the top three until Spoiler was pushed past Mate with a lap and a half left. Mate’s dominance has been broken, at least for now.

5/25/10 - Once again the 38 car of !ECR!Mate grabbed the pole position of a PST event. Mate and (WCR)JDM106 were the only ones to go over 148 mph. An early strategy pit stop on lap 52 left the lead for Gabby and closely followed by JD. While setting up for the halfway stop, leader Gabby hit a space-time continuum that froze him in time...(ok, he hit the esc key and stopped on the track), allowing JD to take over. A two-tire stop by JD and B1Racer left the field behind, and with the race ending up to be another no caution race there was no chance for others to make up the time or the space behind the leaders. (WCR)JDM106 took the win over B1 with a margin of 4.945 seconds as race favorite Mate dropped out on lap 72 due to work constraints.

5/17/10 - !ECR!Mate had no problem dominating Pikes Peak. Nobody came close to passing him as he found the right line for both the qualifying, over 129mph and during the race, with his teammate !ECR!B1Racer on the outside for the start. Since no caution came up by the halfway point, 2-tire strategy came into play for some but four tires was the call. The best battle at the end was between second place finisher (WCR)JDM106 and second in points, Spoiler33. Spoiler let JD past him with 21 laps remaining hoping to draft and save some gas. He dogged JD and made a late run at him coming to the checkered flag but ran out with in site of the line. Technically, the race had one yellow due to Spoiler running out of fuel, but we will call it all green anyway. Good clean racing all around and fast with an average race speed of 127.370mph.

5/7/10 - A second time to The Sunflower State of Kansas saw a great race on the Kansas City oval. !ECR!Mate took the point for the 7th time this season and showed the way for the first half of the race. A blown engine by Gabby brought out the yellow flag and gathered up the field for the first of four cautions. It turns out that, "...Cautions breed cautions..." has some validity to it. Although (WCR)JDM106 and Spoiler33 fought hard to keep the lead through all the restarts Mate was able to prevail and take the win. By now, Mate has become very familiar with Miss PSRL in victory lane and told this reporter that her "tramp stamp" is a replica of the #38 Cowboys Chevy truck.

5/1/10 - The drama started during qualifying as !ECR!Mate was the last to come out and knocked Gabby off of the pole. Once the field got sorted out they held their spots and settled in as it started looking like it was going to be another all green race that PSRL tends to come up with, that is until lap 56. Mate's early lead slid away as his tires began to go away and gabby slipped under him for the lead. Pit stops began just after the halfway mark with Mate taking four tires and !ECR!B1Racer and Gabby taking just two. Gabby regained the lead from DARAIL, B1Racer close for second and Mate 8.5 seconds back, gaining ground and looking like it was going to be another fantastic battle at the end. That's when more drama began as the only caution of the race flew with just 25 laps to go. Everyone came in and reloaded their trucks for the showdown. As Gabby and B1 swapped back and forth for the lead, Mate and Speedball57 wrestled back and forth for third. Mate dispatched Speedball and then B1 and began running down the leader. With just four laps remaining he dove under Gabby in turn four and took it to another win, extending his points lead. We head into the heartland next week with Kansas in our sights.

4/23/10 - The Pro Series Trucks made their first visit to Mesa Marin, which is one of the original NASCAR truck tracks. Jumping onto PST's eighth race pole postion was Ozzie with a lap of 99.293 mph, the only trucker to break through the 99 mph barrier. If cold tires weren't slippery enough catching the grass in the turns was down right treacherous. Many drivers discovered this fact and unfortunately on lap thirty-eight DWorley barely caught the infield’s edge, sending him up into the path of A_Parks and bring out a caution. From here the pit strategies began. Everyone pitted except Spoiler, who stayed out for one more lap to gather a bonus point, and Gabby who chose to gamble for a later caution. At the restart Gabby's warmer tires allowed him to pull away to over 2.5 seconds, but then that much needed caution came on lap 90 when !ECR!B1Racer broke loose coming out of turn four, collecting pole sitter and early leader Ozzie and essentially ending their chances for victory. It looked like it was going to be a shoot out when current point leader !ECR!Mate lined up behind Gabby for the final restart of the race. That went away as Mate honored a black flag for speeding on pit road during his pit stop. From there Gabby dominated the race, winning by a margin of 16.363 seconds over second place finisher Spoiler33, who was followed closely by Speedball57 in third, and leading the most laps 155 out of 198. Staying out of trouble helped again.

4/15/10 - The chili 49° temps brought out Tennessee long johns for the fans and another layer of Nomex® for the drivers, but the action was hot. !ECR!Mate and fellow front row starter Gabby took off and had a gap of 2.5 seconds over third place until the first of 9 cautions came out. The spinning tail end truck of A_Parks became an unavoidable roadblock for the leader and sending the leader to pit road for damage repair. First time starter for 2010, and last row starter, -=Whistler=- rapped Gabby hard enough to move high and into the wall, bringing out a caution with nine to go. With a GWC restart, Whistler got under Mate in turn three and beat Mate coming to the line and the checkers. With next week off there will be plenty of time to straighten the entire bent up equipment. Missing from the action this week was Speedball, who sadly was back home attending the funeral of his mother.

4/4/10 -Under clear skies and 65°, a good-sized crowd was ready for some good challenging short track racing. With a qualifying speed of 89.493mph, Gabby roared off with !ECR!Mate on his right side. The field went almost the entire lap side by side before they got in line and down to business. However, it took only three laps before the first caution appeared. Second through fifth dove down pit road for early left side tires but will it help? It may have. Although Martinsville is known for yellow flags, this was the only one. The race came down to consistent laps and tire wear. !ECR!Mate caught the leader on lap 49 and never looked back and winning by 3.270 seconds. The top five finishers are exactly how they stand in points.

3/23/10 - With real damage checked and no yellows, it came down to who had the least amount of trouble and who stayed on the track. Cold tires at the start and late braking saw pole sitter Mate slide off the track in turn one at the drop of the green flag, with Gabby right behind him. This allowed the short field to zoom right on past them, but most of them also had problems somewhere along the line. The driver, who made the most of it, especially at the end, was Ozzie. An amazing stat for a road race is; out of ten racers starting, seven finished on the lead lap! Ozzie didn't have it all sewed up, however. After damage from turn one and having to stop on the track due to a computer issue, Gabby decided to short shift and over shift to go the distance without stopping. This allowed him to lead the most laps after everyone pitted and was leading going into the last lap. With about half a lap to go Ozzie was coming on fast. Having no chance of holding Ozzie off due to worn tires, Gabby pulled over, let him past and salvaged a decent finish. For the most part everyone used their head and it turned into a great road race event.

3/18/10 - Atlanta proved to be as advertised, a draft driven, nose to tail rocket race. The two Fords of B1Racer and Gabby broke free from the tangle of Chevy’s and stretched out a gap of four seconds before a caution snapped the group back together. The timing was unfortunate, as many trucks had already made their pit stop putting them a lap down. After a stellar battle amongst the remaining lead lapped trucks, Spoiler33 was able to out duel !ECR!Mate and Fisch83 for a tight victory of only .216 seconds. The most laps led bonus this race went to B1Racer who led for 41 laps. The truckers now pack up their Craftsman toolboxes and head to Heartland for one of the two roadies they face this season.

3/7/10 - The PSRL Truck Series roared into Thunder Valley and onto the track known as Bristol Motor Speedway. It was an early ECR team dominance as !ECR!Mate and !ECR!B1Racer hogged the front row. From there Mate ran away from the rest of the field until a caution finally flew on lap 123 and bringing them all back together. That put a few lapped trucks on the inside for the restart and racing each other for position. From then on, it became difficult to keep the race green until the last 25 laps. B1Racer was able to hang on for the much-earned win with Spoiler 33 coming in second only .231 seconds back. After a 6th place restart Mate was able to get no further than 3rd, even though he out raced everyone and earned the bonus point for most laps led with 106 laps.

3/2/10 - Thirteen PSRL trucks pulled into Rockingham looking to come out with a little green, and green they got. Mate38 got a great start from the pole with Spoiler33 falling in behind. Strategy with the fixed setups plays an important part in winning and Mate chose right this night. Taking four tires on the pit stop at halfway, instead of two tires like Spoiler and Gabby, put him in third after all the stops but he ran down second place finisher Gabby with twenty laps remaining and easily bested the rest of the field and led the most laps. All drivers ran a clean race with terribly worn tires, yet the caution never flew. Mate's perfect night puts him at the top of the points as we head into Thunder Valley and Bristol.
2/23/10 - One truck file added to the drivers page today!

2/19/10 - The maiden Tuesday night PSRL Truck Series race was a big success with 17 drivers taking the green. Gabby may have taken the pole with a speed of 188.710 mph but it's the draft that determines the winner. "Lose the draft, lose the race." that was evident throughout. Once the early cautions cleared and drivers adjusted to the setup the racing was on! Inside lane or outside, no lane was safe to be in. Fisch83 may have led the most laps at 18, but 12 out of the 17 drivers had the point at one time or another with 32 lead changes for the 70 lap race. Near the halfway mark trucks started pitting, believing they had enough to finish the race. The top 6 trucks changed just 2 tires while the rest changed 4; this created a split of over 8 seconds between them and the field. Early pitter Gabby tagged behind the top 5 but wasn't close enough to draft up. He needed help and got it from Mate, who dropped back to pick him up. Ozzie dropped back for Mate, Spoiler then dropped to help Ozzie and we had 3 pairs of trucks drafting back together 4 laps later. With 3 to go the leaders got together brining out a caution, setting up a green...white...checkers finish. Another yellow on the restart once again created a green...white...checkers, but what about the fuel? Mate saved enough and made the right moves to come home the victor while Fisch, Spoiler, DWorley and Gabby, having to drop low as his fuel ran out, battled it out for second making it 4 wide. Next up we'll be rocking at Rockingham.
